Just joined the forum and just got my new Civic Hatchback Sport - I went from a Nissan Murano SUV for gas savings and a more fun ride.

Enjoying the pep - missing some luxuries like leather and heated seats, moonroof, touchscreen of the higher models, but 5 inch screen, USB and BT options are serviceable.

Anything I should be aware of with the Hatchback sport?

Thanks
M

Always loved how they look in black, the only downside is how much work it takes to maintain that like new finish. But anyone willing to keep up that maintenance is in for a great looking vehicle.

Did you happen to get any sort of paint protection done to make maintenance easier over the long haul?

Our black/ivory Sport Touring is being built Friday (2/17). I plan to work it over with a clay bar, if the dealer doesn't do it first (the salesman said they would if there was too much rail dust on it) then build up a good coat of Zaino. I've done this on every car we've bought for the past fifteen+ years and have never been disappointed with the shine and durability. As clean as they look on the dealer's lot, they usually aren't. Wash with Dawn first, then clay bar, then wash with a good car soap (I use Zaino there as well), then the polish. Also check out Dr. Color Chip for that first booboo.

I didn't - i assume a yearly wax should be good right?
I usually wax twice a year in the spring and early fall.I live in the Midwest where in the winter months my car is exposed to harsh road conditions like salt and salt brine.Plus I like detailing it.
