My EX-T engine bay.As you can see I have a Mishimoto intake.Coming soon is a hybrid racing oil cap and Mishimoto catch can.

Just imagine if you had a cold air intake that ended around the mid-lower section of the bumper.

Do you see yourself eventually upgrading from that short ram intake?

How effective is a cold air intake if the intake air is cycled through the turbo then intercooler on its way to the engine?Ive noticed a gain in HP but the olde butt dyno isn't too accurate.

That SRI is getting cold air from the front bumper area just like the OEM setup, that spot is better than putting it anywhere else. I hope we don't get into the whole SRI vs CAI debate like the 9th Si, this is FI, 9th Si was NA.....BIG difference how air intakes work.

The stock intake seems to have the largest intake for air at the top and a small hole in the bottom as pictured.And Yea the SRI/CAI debate on the 9th was beat to death.Im also a super mod on the 9th BTW AKA Ghostmonky.As for heat soak Im sure there is some but I'm not too concerned.Air will circulate as the car is in motion and more speed means more air.But Im by no means a expert just making a observation as I see it.When I get flash Pro I'll take the top off of the Mishimoto air box and check the IAT off and on to see how that effects the IAT
