In all her official glory. Civic Nation is back!
As we knew, Civics in regular trim will make use of two all-new four-cylinder engines, a 2.0-liter and a 1.5-liter turbo. The turbo can be found in EX-T, EX-L and Touring trims. Leaving the 2.0 doing its duty solely in the LX.
That long fastback shape contributed a 12% gain in aerodynamic efficiency which Honda says should be good for 40 MPG on the highway.
For the Starbucks chicane the Civic brings front strut suspension and multi-link out back. The body is said to be 25 percent stiffer, lighter too. Both front and rear stabilizer bars have grown, while 4-wheel disc brakes and ghetto but great brake-controlled torque vectoring all come standard.
Once again Honda works their magic inside, the 10th gen Civic gaining 3.7 cubic inches of passenger space, tangibly a 2 inch gain in rear leg room. You can heat their bums too with optional heated rear seats. Cargo capacity is also up 2.6 cubic inches.
For the gizmo driven Apple CarPlay or Android Auto are available on a 7 inch Hi Def touchscreen. Honda Sensing features crash avoidance lane departure and adaptive cruise allowing you to text and drive or at least dunk your donuts.
Thats all we have for now, Honda will release more details closer to the 10th gen sedan hitting dealers this fall. As for the good stuff, just be patient the Coupe, Si, Type R and hatch will be with us shortly.
Stay tuned sports fans.
