Hey guys,

Installed the Morimoto kit from The Retrofit Source and man am I glad I did. They work so much better than the LED's I had installed. The throw and the brightness are much better. With Leds, they wouldnt even light up the plate of a car in front of me 25 feet. These hit the car in front right at the bumper trunk line and did not appear to glare into the cabin of the car in front of me, even when following with multiple car lengths between us. Up next, some fog light bulb upgrade to match the color of the other lights.

Morimoto does have some nice lights. My only worry with them is that they may blind oncoming traffic. As much as I like to light up the road in front of me, I've been blinded by one too many cars to do the same.

That becomes more of an issue when the cars like the older civics dont have projectors but regular halogen reflectors. Those deflect the light in all directions and are the ones that blind oncoming traffic.

Now if your projectors are aimed to high, you can blind the oncoming drivers but that is correctable by adjusting the aim of your headlights.

You did some good research and I thank you..... The reviews look great and I LOVE THESE LIGHTS...
Just bought a 2017 Ex-L and I am going to order these lights now. Had a quick question.

Were you able find a nice matched fog light to your liking yet ? If so what was it ?

I had not done fogs yet. not sure if i want yellow fogs or match the HIDs. Im pretty sure from previous experience though that and LED fog will be really close to the color

hmm did you do a relay set up? Did you disconnect the battery? If you disconnected the battery then drive it around the block and the codes should clear. I did the canbus and didnt have an issue

Disconnected the battery, installed, drove it around didn't reset on its own. The brake service light came on after and the electric power steering warning lol... Pulled the negative terminal for 1 min, connected, drove around, all lights went off. Odd. But the kit works well.
