My Aegean Blue Si Sedan!

Hey folks!

Didn't expect to be on this board as I was not a fan of the 10th gen exterior design, but the Si did cure a lot of that on the front-end, and the rear is still growing on me. However, the car drove amazing, and the $$ numbers were competitive with the runner-up car that I have done months of research on including being active on the forum and Facebook page, a 2017 Hyundai Elantra Sport. Love that car, I do think it wins on exterior design and Hyundai has made great strides by putting out a near competitor to the Si, but when I drove the Si it was clear that Honda has the edge in the chassis and suspension tuning plus overall refinement. This car will be a 4-year lease, I will (try to) keep it mostly stock and enjoy it as a great DD plus fun toy for hunting twisty roads! To attain the 2900lbs, Honda USA has really stripped down the US-bound versions, whereas In Canada we get them fully loaded with the LED Headlights, Navigation, Sunroof, Wireless Charging, Blindspot Assist, Donut Spare etc. I don't mind a 50-100lbs gain.

I am coming out of a 2004 Volvo S60 R that I sold in November 2015, to pursue further studies and live in downtown Toronto. Absolutely loved that car, with it's gobs of hp, torque, and luxury; plus a 5-pot turbo is one of the best sounding engines in existence! I have always been a forum user for their rich technical knowledge, and feel like a natural fit now working at AutoGuide.com, here with the folks who bring you this forum! I am on the Vendor team, working with clients such as ProCivic, Mishimoto, and other vendors who are on the forum or would like to join

I had not even considered the Civic Si, but two coworkers have lots of history with Honda, and they suggested I should try one. At first I denied, then I said the insurance will be higher than the Elantra Sport but that turned out to be opposite by $35/month difference as the Honda is considered safer. Biked to Honda Downtown, and darn it they had to have the same spec I would have ordered, freshly delivered on their showroom floor with only 14kms on it! Took a sedan demo out to DVP and Cherry Road area, got back and worked out a deal, then signed on it! From not even thinking about a Civic Si, to signing on my perfect spec, all within 24 hours!

Here are some pictures of my new Si! Unfortunately, they have already drilled holes into the front, but otherwise upon inspection the car looked spotless inside and out. Can't wait for Wednesday evening to pick it up from the dealership
