Hey everyone, as title states i'm a new owner and previous owner of a Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T, and i have to say off the showroom floor the Civic feels leaps and bounds faster and more refined than the Genesis ever did.

I designed a lot of parts and tuned my Genesis to just over 600whp so looking forward to seeing what i can do with the Civic turbo.

I'll post photos once i reach non-newbie

Welcome! **** 600whp is awesome i bet she was a blast to drive! I find it interesting that you said out of the showroom it feels faster than the genesis because my buddy has 2013 2.0t and its pretty **** quick. What are going to be your first changes? Cant wait to see what you do with it!

Didn't know people were boosting those 2.0T's to anywhere near those power levels! Must've been wild :D

Join a few conversations, make some posts, and then post some pics! Ps. I'm on the back-end team behind this forum and we do this to greatly reduce the number of spammers.

Yea the genesis was a beast, and that was actually the nic name it got here in South Florida.

The 2013+ have a much better turbo (twin scroll and a bit larger) which is why "out of the showroom" a 2013+ is pretty quick (263hp) and likely puts down around 220-225whp thats factoring in a 15% drivetrain loss, where as the 2008-2012 is 210hp and only puts down around 160whp, i've got a ton of dyno runs but i can't post until my post count here is up.
2008-2012 Genesis Coupe 2.0T = TD04-04H*13T (13T): ~40.5mm (380-400 cfm)(29 lb/min)
2013+ Genesis Coupe 2.0T = TD04HL-19T (19T): ~46mm (500-550 cfm)(38 lb/min)

My first plans are to make some parts for my own car first and test them out and see what gains i can get(i have anytime access to a full machine shop which has CNC, Lathe, balncing machine, flow bench for both air and fluid), i'm a function over form guy so you'll see very little in the way of visual for me except anodized stuff in red attached to the engine..

Beautiful cars! Very impressive cant wait to see how it comes out!
Same here!

Had the car on the lift last night and i have to tell you guys this car is very well put together, much better than i expected, the under trays are a bit flimsy but are lightweight and do the job, i can surely see one of the first bits will be exhaust from the turbo back then intake next intercooler.

Perfect, you're already familiar with the platform :)

I'll touch base with the team next week with your thoughts, and see what can be done. GenCoupe.com is also a decent community.

Hope you're enjoying this forum so far!
