A good point was made about where the turbo goes:
You can see where the turbo bolts to the manifold which is cast with the head in the third picture. Basically the exhausts are all channeled into one port. Very tightly packaged. It does indeed look a lot tighter than the K20. I don't know if they really need a VTEC system on the cams, or something as extensive as they use with their NA engines. The press statement says VTEC technology, so that can be a large range of things. I do see what looks like variable cam phasing, but on the exhaust side?
