Hey ! Congrats on the purchase first of all, looks great !

As far as tinting goes, it really depends on where you live. Some places have different legal limits than others. Personally I like to stay at a uniform 35% all around. It's right at the legal limit for me, and it's not too dark to the point where I struggle to see outside of the back window, etc.

After seeing pictures of the hatch that got spied just recently, looking at either the sedan or hatch from this angle, it will be hard to tell the two apart.

Well, If you want to remain legal, your local tint shop can tell you what grade to use on the front door windows.
I like to go 1 shade darker for the back windows.

Yea I've been leaning towards 30% for the side and back, black interior already makes it look dark enough at night so no need to go any more than that.

30% should definitely look clean. The black interior will help in the night time as well. Best part of it is with 30% you can still see curbs and what not out of the windows in the night

That will be a good thing to do since I think some police agencies have window tint level measuring guns that can tell accurately what level its at. But of course there's a chance at times the calibration on those guns could be off, much like other measuring tools they use.

Police have window tint measuring guns ? How do they work ?! Is it like a radar that they can hit you from a distance or ..... ?
