Hi all! My name's Robert and I just signed up upon hearing about the launchof the 10th gen civic and the new Type-R coming to the states. I've beenfollowing the 2016 Type-R is hopes that at least the engine would come here. Now that I know we're getting a real Type-R my plan is to be one of the firstin my area with one. I currently own a 2003 EP3 that I’ve had since it wasbrand new. I've held off on getting a new Si over the years in hopes ofsomething like this happening. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all!

Great to have you here. I'm also excited to hear that we will be getting the Type R in North America.

Which part of Nevada are you from? Vegas? Reno?

Cheers, and looking forward to chatting with you in the future.
Welcome to the boards, what did you think of the 10th gen concept?
Hey Robert, welcome to the forum!

Are you going to keep the EP3 or sell it? I've always loved those EP3s...

Thanks for the welcome! I'm south of Reno, just down the hill from Lake Tahoe.

I love the concept coupe but I really enjoy having a hatchand a lot of room. I will have to see the 5 door, Si and Type-R in personbefore I can make my decision. If I had to guess, I would imagine that the Siwill be offered in coupe and sedan and the R will be the 5 door only.

I've owned my EP3 since it was brand new and I have way too much time, money and memories invested in it so I am going to keep it. I think a blue Type-R and my EP3 will look great next to each other =)

Welcome! I think the hatch may be Type R only... http://www.10thcivicforum.com/forum...-10th-gen-na-civic-type-r-uk-civic-hatch.html
I think you're right and honestly that would be fine with me.
Hatch has the perfect recipe to become a Type R, it's already a Type R elsewhere and as for coming to North America, it's set to be available in low volume.

Only hope for a different Type R is with an 11th generation model.
