New message icon popup, can't erase

Wondering if any of you have had a similar problem.

My car is still pretty fresh, less than 1000km when I had a message/letter notice popup on the infotainment screen (not on the speedometer). I have no idea where the message notification is coming from.

The "letter" icon is right beside the "bluetooth on" signal on the screen. Anyone have any ideas? Manual and Honda salesperson have no idea.

So you can't figure out where to actually read this message? Is it just your phone connected to the car or has anyone else connected their phone as well?
Definitely (90%) sure it's not the phone. When I get texts/notifs, it comes from Carplay for iPhones.

If I remember correctly, the message said something about maintenance. I've even tried resetting my oil change to no avail. I'll try to throw a picture on later.

I was thinking it might have to do with Honda's garbage HondaLink but no avail there.
Is it a yellow envelope icon at the top of the screen that appeared with a beep sound? Apparently you can swipe down to view the message from any screen.

I bet if you were to ask enough service people about Honda Link they'll have a lot of negatives to tell you about, since they are ones to see these issues first since most owners wouldn't know where to begin.
I know there have been plenty of issues with the infotainment system so you are not alone.

I have exactly the same issue. Yellow envelope icon and no apparent way to make it go away. Any ideas?
Swipe Down from the envelope Icon, it will open the message. Then tap the little X on the upper right side to delete it.
Have you guys installed the HondaLink app on your phone? If you're not able to delete it from within the app, here is a work around. The system is based on Android, so if you're familiar with that, this should be pretty easy for you.

Swipe down from the top screen just like in Android to bring down notifications and settings.

Tap on the settings icon right next to the date.

Tap on Storage (you can also tap on Apps but this way is faster)

Tap on Apps.

Tap on TelematicsApp

Tap Clear Data

Tap on the Back button till the screen backs all the way out to the main menu.
