Picked up my 17 Hatch Sport in White Orchid Pearl a little over a month ago and I'm loving it so far. We've had some lovely weather down here in Florida. First couple of shots are the day I brought her home, the other 2 are just the other day out and about. Traded up my 09 Civic sedan and I'm SUPER happy I did.

Perfect color for Florida. Lucky for you come November and December it won't be a PITA to clean. Winter does a number to white.

What first things are you planning to do? Paint protection? aftermarket mods? accessories?

Paints already at least partially protected. Dealership was a Xzilon dealer and it was 500 bucks for the treatment, inside and out. Protects the paint against wear, dings, dents, etc. Only downside is because its designed to repel water, it has a tendency to collect and evaporate instead of roll off unless I'm driving. As a result, when it gets dirty, it gets really spotty all over the hood, top, rear bumper, wing, and rear underbody spoiler. Requires rinsing it off once every couple of weeks, but the dirt rolls right off it Probably the best 500 I spent. Just gonna wax every 6 months to keep it shining.

As for anything else, I'll probably leave the engine alone until the power train warranty runs out. Then tune it up. I considered replacing the front and rear Honda badges with the red backed ones they use on the CTR. Its got red accents on the interior with the dash, and overhead light so when you drive at night the center console is bathed in a red light. I thought a little red touch on the outside would set it apart. Especially since, a month ago, I was the only guy driving one around here. I've seen 3 or 4 the last couple of days.

Did honda nail the ride quality with the 18 inch wheels and rubberband tires? I'm loving my LX with the 16 inch THICK tires although these HanKooks are just a perfect blend and even these sporty tires soak up bumps like a real pro. Are the 18s a more stiff ride? That center mount exhaust, how do you feel driving with them especially when more expensive cars pull up or beside? Get any funny gawks and leers? also, main thing, do you use the highest octane gas and what brand do you use?

edit: if you like the white, you would love the PMM color aka 'the only gray'! It's like white but with hue.

i have the hankooks on 16 inch and all i have to say.....there cheap and not so good tire for performance...i see the limit very quickly trust me!
as for the ride confort its true that 16 inch with beefy tires is more comfortable.....IMO i would go with 17 inch if you want both nice looking and conmfort at the same time....but the look of the 18 inch is just perfect for the size of the car.......
i have the lx version of the hatchback(basic model)manual and ive put the highest grade of octane since my 3rd fill up...and i never gone back and im pretty sure that my engine loves it more than regular fuel.......at 650km on a full tank for 45$ canadian.....i really cant go wrong!
