I say new in that it is my first non-Grand Prix in 15 years. I bought a used 2016 Civic Touring with 13,000 miles.
I was looking for an active forum to ask a lot of beginner questions.
My first is some body trim. It is on the front and back.
Inside the orange circles. I did not see them on any other Civic Touring.
Million other's but I start with this one.

what's your question regarding the trim? no, it isn't factory. it's been added...as well as the lower rocker panels.

congrats on the new civic!

The local dealer did not add them, it was on the car when they bought it.
The car's was a Honda fleet car and the area from where it was from (Ohio) made me think it was some factory guy perk car.
The carfax say's it was ding on the front, hard to tell where by looking at the gaps, I guessing driver front.
I have not looked much, but I guessing Honda has add on products. Do they sell it or is it from some aftermarket vendor?
I am curious. I was hoping someone might recognize the trim.
I did find a picture like mine on the wiki page https: //en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Civic
Here is a direct link to the picture https: //en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Honda_Civic_2016.jpg
(My post count is not high enough for me to add them as links)

The description for the picture is "English: Spotted on the Airport Rd, Dhaka, Bangladesh 2017", so I don't think it was mine. :)

congrats on the new civic!
Thanks. So far I really like it. I wish the ride was a little better. I wonder if that can be enhanced with some aftermarket parts?

they are not honda parts that i am aware of. they are a 3rd party vendor's parts. too many too list that offer them.

and yes, you can pretty much do anything you want with the car. change out the springs/struts & tires to soften the ride, but then you'd lose some of the handling characteristics of the car.

you can trade your factory wheels for my factory wheels....that would soften the ride up and it'd be cheap to do.

Actually the dealer is a vendor on this forum
I was going to post the link for future reference, but I guess I don't have enough posts yet. So here it is but you will have to fix it (add 'w w w. without spaces').

most who've been here long enough are very familiar with College Hills Honda and what they do, help and provide for the community.

the lips what they sell are not what you have on the bumpers. the rocker trim could be (i'm not going to go look up the part numbers).

i don't understand why you are so concerned or infatuated with these add-ons.

they aren't factory. think of it as you already got your first modification to the car.

It's not that big of a deal, just to totally new to Honda and it was a used car, so I am just sorting out the history as much as possible.
I know curiosity kill the cat ;) but that's all it is just curiosity.

(i'm not going to go look up the part numbers).
I don't blame you. I am new to the forum and it would not let me post URL yet, but now I can. This URL is to the page that I got the part numbers off of.
I was just polishing off the post in case someone ran across the thread at a later date.
Now that is going to let me post URL's, I will go back and edit where I had the part number and update it with the URL that matches it.

(forgive me for not being up on slang) Is this what You are call lips?

And this is the rocker trim?

Looks like I can't edit a post that old, so I will include them here.

i was wrong...those are parts by the dealer. i wouldn't call those bumper pieces a spoiler nor a lip. it's neither in reality - not in the auto world i live in. however, they do appear to be a Honda part.

the other piece is referred to as rocker trim or side skirts.

Thanks and sorry for the confusion. Since I could not post links and even if I could have, I know unless the forums bigwigs know you, they will think you are trying to promote a outside vendor.

I did email Collage Hills and this was their response "Accessories on employee and fleets cars are installed at the delivering dealer. I pulled a VIN status and did not recognize the dealer number." I asked if they would give me the dealer number, not sure if they will or if it will do me any good. Just curious. :)

I have some questions on Hondalink and such, but I will post them in the appropriate forum. (At least try)
