My 9th Gen. only chirps the horn on door lock with two presses of the lock button. Single press all you hear are the solenoids setting the locks along with the lights blink. Second press chirps the horn and blinks the lights. Even my 13 year old P5 works like that.

No horn chirp with door lock? Only that almost inaudible beep that I can't hear when I'm trying to lock my car from my bedroom. Is there a way to sound the horn instead of the beep? (as embarrassing as the horn sounds)

For people who "honk to lock" in residential areas, STOP it. There are babies sleeping,

double click the lock button on the key faub
On 9th gen there is a setting for this up on the imid screen. Turned my chirp off. It's sorta obnoxious in some situations.
