Notifications settings with Bluetooth on

Had a quick question about notifications that I can't seem to figure out. I am a Uber/Lyft driver and when I am connected to blue tooth and have my ride sharing apps on I don't get an audible noise when I have a ride request in my Touring.


I get the audible noise when NOT using blue tooth. I think Car Play is messing with it? I went into my blue tooth settings on my Iphone 7 and changed the "show notifications" to on. Will this solve the problem? If not, anyway to get noise out of the phone with blue tooth on?
