Pinstriping on a 2016 Civic

One of my favorite subtle touches that can be added to a vehicle is pinstriping, which helps to complement the belt line and on the 2016 civic sedan below it accomplishes exactly that.

However, as many of you may know, pinstripes are not limited to a vehicles side profile, it can be done anywhere you see fit: side mirrors, grille, rear diffuser, wheels, the list goes on!

With that being said, who's planning to get pinstriping? Where on your Civic? In what color?

I've only ever seen pinstriping from the dealer along the contour line.

I think Gary's Civic has pinstripes...
Planning to get an Si, if I do, red pinstriping on the grille is a must:

I don't mind it, but not to the point where I'd actually pay the money to get it done. I think a lot depends on the exterior color that you go with as well.

Why not? It's simple enough. Keep in mind these are applied no differently vinyl wraps. If we were talking about some 1930's Ford... then it'll require the classic method. Point is, the method we're going with here is CHEAP if you're paying someone to do it for you (quite easy to do yourself)

I guess I just don't like it enough to spend the effort.
I've never been a pinstripe lover. The Civic lines are already quite prominent and the stripping feels like it makes it too busy... IMHO. To each their own though.... so make it your own :)
I want the coupe and I can't really see it pinstriped especially the blue trim.
Think I found a zoomed out picture of the striped car:

Not bad but to each their own.

Dealer had mine pin striped but I made them take it off! They chose a light blue-ish/silver almost white color and I didn't like it on the modern steel metallic

Yea, white pin stripes wouldn't have looked that great on Modern Steel Metallic. Did that they put it on without your consent?
Ah not really my thing but looks great with the white!
I've thought about it, but hard to decide what color or where I'd put them on a Rallye Red. I've always done my own stripes instead of paying for it
Best pinstriping ever on any vehicle, our 1974 Lotus Europa. Inspired by the livery of the Formula One champions at the time.

I think pin-striping worked so well for your 1974 Lotus Europa because it's so much more angular than the Honda Civic. But you can use painter's tape to try and recreate the outline on the Civic just to see if the lines work. If not, you can easily peel the tape off.

they put it on as a part of the "honda protection package" which came w/t tint and trunk tray, mud flaps etc.. easy for them to remove
mine came with gray and black pinstripes when I bought it. It is above the contour line. I have the EGP coupe
All you really have to do with a modern car like this is look at what has been done to other newer cars with a similar overall design, then just straight up copy that or do something creative.

There's also Type R models of the past you can refer to, and the current Type R sold in Europe.

Any pictures of your ex-l turbo with the pin stripes we can see? I've only ever seen the ones without a stripe so far.
For reference, probably the best example of pinstriping on a Honda, yes i know it's a concept:

I'll have to get a pic close up..otherwise hard to see on the pics I have.
