Trying to quell the sometimes-rattle on cold mornings inside the A-pillar cover. Anyone know if it's easy to remove these covers?
There is a screw behind the plastic piece near the top of the cover. That cover says Air Bag or something like that. Just pop the cover off, remove the screw, and pull the cover away from the pillar and up from the dash.

Also be careful as that "cover" is actually an airbag, and if damaged will trigger an SRS warning light.

And it will be an expensive repair.
What I called a cover the screw is behind is just a small plastic square that snaps in and that covers only the screw. The A pillar trim comes off after that screw is removed. That cover is not an air bag, but the air bag is behind it, and attached to the pillar itself.

I am not encouraging anyone to work on something if they have no clue what they're doing, and yes, it could get very expensive is someone damages that airbag. In fact, I just noticed that the OP is trying to fix a noise, and I hope he knows better than to put some sort of cushioning between the trim and the pillar, and over the air bag. That could be a pretty big problem.
