I would like to know (can't find much info) if this is the sport or sport touring?
Seems like a touring with the wheels and led headlights, but i thought it was cvt only.
I also am wondering if anyone knows what the 3 buttons are to the right of the shifter.
One could be sport mode, but the others i can't see.
thanks

Chris it is a sport touring Canadian model, We are getting the 6 speed in every 2017 Civic. The closest button is the econ, not sure on the other two but probably the same on 2016 touring sedan and coup. Anyone ? On closer inspection the red sport may be an overseas model (based on license plate size, but not right hand drive ?). The other two buttons do not show up on the Canadian Touring model on the Honda Canada site so I don't know what their for. One kinda looks like down hill descent but that doesn't make sense on a manual.

i'm guessing the red one above is either a Canadian model or European model. The NA models don't have those 3 buttons you speak of nor do they have the rear parking assist beepers in the bumper. i just looked at and took some photos yesterday of a 2017 Blue EX-L Navi model. none of that existed. it did have dual exhaust outlets...it just a 'Y' pipe aft of the rear wheels. Albeit you can't see the exhaust from the rear...unless you get on the ground and look up for them.

Also, the black spoiler that runs from taillight to taillight, it already had a white milky stain(s) in it and i couldn't' rub them out. that's concerning to me...if that is going to hold up over time in the sunlight.

You really can't see it that easily ?? I thought it was going to be one of those things that stick out because it's like.. a feature thing :surprise:

The sport models will come with the center exhaust. other models will not. that center exhaust is good for about 6 additional hp (and torque) - using premium fuel.

also, to keep in mind...i mimicked washing the rear window..and i couldn't get my hand between the tailgate spoiler and glass...so, that might present a problem over time. i'm sure there are ways to get it clean, but, it wont' be an easy task!

As far as looks go I have to say this looks GREAT compared to the Focus and I don't mind getting either one. Honda just has to make sure they can check all the boxes or enough to stay competitive on most levels.

Anyone else here open to getting the Focus Hatch?

since honda didn't really offer a hatch...the focus was high on the list, especially since subaru quit producing the impreza hatch. don't care for the new 3 hatch whatsoever. considered the elantra, forte & focus. the new cruze hatch is too new to consider at this point.

anyone else notice that chevrolet has pretty much copied other manufactures designs. the new malibu is striking similar to the 2011 sonata shape...the impala reminds one of either the azera or avalon. and the new cruze is a 9th gen civic.

Overall I like the Focus. It got a slight refresh for 2017. Not a fan of the center console. I think the Civic Interior is nicer looking compared to the Focus.
It's hard not to like it, even the Fiesta and i've seen more and more people moving from sporty compact imports to the Fiesta ST, etc. Another reason I like the Focus is it's been around for at least a few years now so if you really want to put yourself in a good position, buy CPO.

I know what you mean, for me its too CUV-like on the inside but for some people that like that bigger car feel is in for a treat.

Someone could tell me this is the interior of a Ford Explorer and I would believe it, but of course I know better...
