When I first looked at the Civics I was surprised at how low the redline was on the tach at only 6500 rpms This motor should easily handle 7,000 rpms, if not more.

What is worse is that on my CVT model I can't get the rpms past 6,000, it always shifts at 6,000 no matter what. I guess the manual tranny cars can hit 6,500.

I wonder if flashpro will allow us to increase the rpm limiter or at least get up to 6500. The redline on my other car is almost 9000 rpms, so the 6k shift point on the Civic really feels low. Luckily we have some decent mid-range torque on this setup.

Flash Pro has the redline adjustments setting plus recovery RPM.

That's a nice little benefit in my opinion, that will make the Flashpro option even more attractive.

Thanks for the reply.

Definitely... any tuner can really get rid of that red line. All it is, is a governer set to limit it. Very easily removed :) Then you can start doing some head work and really raise that actual redline that the engine can produce ;)
