In my old 2015 Civic I was able to use 2 different usb drives, one in each USB port of the car. I could switch from one port to the other whenever I wanted.
Now, in my new 2018 Civic sedan I can't do that.
Any suggestion?
My salesman told me that only the USB connector below the Head Unit (HU) is connected to the HU. The USB in the cup holder area is not connected and can only be used for charging. Not verified but what he said.
Turns out my salesman was wrong. I was playing USB thumb drive music today from the cup holder\console area. I guess both USB ports will work after all. Bonus!
Please forgive me for hijacking your thread, but I seem to have an issue with my USB not re-scanning my music drive. I made a lot of changes to the folder names and organization, but the drive is still using the info it got from the original scan. Is there a way to force it to re-scan my thumb drive? I don't see anything on it in the manual.
Thanks
