I picked the car up last Monday.

Accessories are coming.

Weather Tech shade fits perfectly.

Honda Trunk Tray

I made a mistake purchasing this trunk tray. I didn't read the description and assumed it would be rubber like the one I had in the CRZ. This tray is hard plastic and slippery. However, it fits perfectly in the trunk.

I should have purchased the Weather Tech tray.

In weather tech we trust. At least the tray fits perfectly but I'm not sure if you can do much about the slippery aspect of it. You may just have to get used to your groceries moving around when you drive.

Did you get the sun shade with black on both sides?
The sun shade is black and silver. I purchased a Weather Tech trunk tray and will sell the Honda tray. I have a cargo net on the way to help with the rolling around.

Today the Philips X-treme Vision LED fog lights came in and were installed. These are 6000k and I believe they color match with the low beam headlights.

Weather Tech ! Hitting the necessities first. Those before and after pictures are beautiful though, they really match up nicely. Whats next ?
I'm waiting for splash guards and a cargo net from College Hills Honda. These should arrive Wednesday.
EX LED USA has not shipped the interior LED light kit yet. I still haven't found LEDs for the vanity lights. I called the deal and they don't have part number for the bulb. So, I think it will be some time before those will be replaced. These are of the accessories I have planed. But you know how it goes. It is never ending.
Definitely.. Once it begins, it just keeps going. Never done lol. But really nice start, definitely gonna keep an eye out on your progress !
Yep, I just ordered the Mishimoto catch can. I'm happy they extended the pre-sale.

Nice ! But I feel that completely, wait until the group buys start :D
The pre-order is the group buy. Pre-order is $144.95 after it is $180.
Nice upgrades done to your Civic, which are the essentials I think just about everyone here should be doing.

Protecting the paint is another thing I would advise you do if you haven't done so already or plan to.
Usually people just get Opti-Coat or paint protection film.

I agree with that too, even a paint sealant for now (6 month lasting expectancy) would be a good first step just until your ready to decided on a much longer lasting protection
I will put some protective clear vinyl in some areas. I had a professional wax job. I will looking to the other protections you mentioned.

Agreed. I really want the Mishimoto catch can even though I don't have a civic yet... Temptations everywhere on the forum!

Maybe a vendor will have a vinyl or clear bra sale soon. :D

Which wax did they use if you don't mind me asking ? Did they do a full polish first and then wax it or just waxed over the factory finish ?

If you go on road trips, long drives or even pass by a lot of construction site then it might be worth getting clear vinyl applied to the front end. It can go a long way in protecting your new vehicle. It's crazy how damaged some front ends can get.
I don't know which wax was used. He clay barred my CRZ because the surface was so rough. The Civic didn't need that.
I purchased 3' x 2' clear vinyl from TankSlappers for $32. This is the same 3m vinyl which Honda uses for Bumper Applique which is $51.
I will make a rear bumper applique, put some behind the door handles and on the painted surface behind the splash guards.

Nice, those are definitely the key problem areas. The amount of scratches and rock chips I have in those areas is ridiculous :crying:
Maybe cover that strip of metal under the doors too. Depends on how you and your passengers get in and out of cars but I sometimes accidentally knock my boots/shoes there and it leaves scratches.
I don't know if the vinyl will stick to plastic. Thanks for the idea. If have enough vinyl, I'll give a try.
