I believe at the very least the wiring is not plug and play between the stock lower trims and the LED lamps on the Touring. Others have suggested you could splice them in but there may be warranty considerations if you do that.
Headlights on a Touring are not swappable with lower trims. The LED's on the touring are totally different wiring than the lower trims.Does anyone know if the LED headlamps would be a straight/bolt on replacement on lower trims? I am 50/50 on the new Civic and honestly, do not need/want all the crap that comes on the Touring model, but would have loved the LED headlamps on the EX for instance?
The wiring harness shouldn't be much of an issue. All we will need is that exact part of the harness that goes to the lights. I bet the other end that connect to the mass of wires connects in the same way.Headlights on a Touring are not swappable with lower trims. If you did swap, you'd have to do some serious splicing into the electrical which instantly voids your warranty.
Not a good idea at all.
Making these changes though, will void the warranty on your wiring harness, and they'd probably blame it for the failure of anything electrical in the car, which most of it is electrically connectedThe wiring harness shouldn't be much of an issue.
