Tuner Problem

So I took my car out tonight, it had been sitting since yesterday, everything worked fine yesterday. I start the car and see "Check Tuner" on the infotainment screen. I was thinking ut oh the honeymoon is over my first problem is hitting my car. :crying:
I tried changing the XM station, but it would not let me, Music was coming out from the station it was stuck on, but I could not change to a different XM station. I changed source from XM to FM, and FM worked fine, I tried to change back to XM, no sound at all. I tried a quick power on and off, nothing.
I did a full reboot to the system and then everything was fine when it started back up. Anyone else ever seen this?
I'm definitely calling the dealership Monday.

Could be a software problem with Honda. I think you should leave it if it happens again so the dealership can see it in action. Not sure if replacing the infotainment system would help if it's a software problem.
So, I emailed my dealership service department manager today, and sent the photo of what the radio did over the weekend.
He said this is a known problem for Accords and Honda is working on a fix, but he'd never seen a Civic do it yet, lucky me I get to be the first in the Civic to have this problem.
Hopefully it won't keep doing it before they sent out the fix. They want me to bring the car in on Thursday, and they'll submit the photo and report the problem to Honda that it's affecting a Civic Touring now.

Thats what the service manager just told me, it's a known software problem for Accords, but I'm the first one they've seen it happen in a Civic. Then again I'm also one of the first 5 Civics they sold and the first Civic Touring they sold.
He did say I can just do the reboot if it happens again, but make sure I take a photo first.
What is involved in a reboot?
What is involved in a reboot?
Holding the touch screen power until a screen comes up asking if you want to reboot, press yes on the touch screen. It takes at least 1 to 3 minutes for the system to completely reboot and come back on. Similar to restarting a tablet or a smart phone or a computer

Is it possible that this is related to the Touring audio update that is available? I got the recall notice in the mail last week but I haven't taken my car in yet.

Nope, I had the update done over a month ago, this is something different according to the service manager, Honda is working on another update patch for this.
