Are you referring to the traction control (VSA)? If so, there is a button on the dashboard to disable it; you press and hold it for about (3) seconds and it will turn off but will place a warning light on the cluster. Also, when you shut the car off and restart it later the VSA will automatically re-engage. . . There is no way that I know of to disable this permanently.

no, they shouldn't be coming on. how hard are you braking? they are independent of the brake light system altogether.

but, an easy fix is not to brake so hard and aggressively.
