WeatherTech or Husky 16 Coupe

7778 Views 24 Replies 10 Participants Last post by  4Tires
Picked the 16 Coupe EX-T for the wife yesterday and Was looking for some mats for it. Doesn't look like neither weathertech or husky have released them yet. I wasnt a fan of the Honda mats as they dont go all the way forward and still leave some rug open under the peddles.
Anyone have some release info for weathertech or husky?

Your best bet may be just giving them a call. I guess the time between the civic sedan release and when they released the floor mats would be a good indicator.
Thanks
Sent them an email this morning. I will post the response when I get it.

If they also gave you price, please post it as well. Interested in mats and trying to budget my purchases. Also planning to get a few others, vent visors, paint protection, and the usual new car things suggest to get.
Never used Husky. Always had good luck with Weathertech. I think Husky run a little less $$.
Here is what i got from Husky yesterday.

Greg,

Currently we do not have plans to add liners for the Civic Coupe. If we do change this I will gladly e-mail you with that information.

Thanks for your interest!

Here is the email from Weathertech.

Good Morning Greg,
Thank you for contacting MacNeil Automotive Products ltd. Unfortunately we do not have anything for the 2016 Honda Civic Coupe at this time. It usually takes anywhere from 10-12 weeks in production and 3 weeks for the approval process.
Please feel free to call or email me directly to check availability or if you may need assistance placing an order.

Thank You

So we may not see anything from weather tech for another 15 weeks. A bit longer than expected but I don't know how their production process works so that could be normal. At least winter is over so there really isn't too big of a need for them yet.

thanks for posting up the emails!

I got the Honda OEM highwall mats, and they worked great all winter, not a drop of salt or anything on the carpets, only on the mats as should be

One helpful thing to do is knock your boots together before getting in, some people don't do it and become surprised at the mess they bring in. I used to that when I was running carpet mats in winter and the mess wasn't that bad with weekly cleaning which didn't take long at all.
I have the Husky's in my fusion and had them in my previous 2 subaru's and love them. I will have to look at the honda mats again and see how the coverage is.
I ordered WeatherTech front and rear. Should be here Saturday.
Coupe or sedan?
I have the sedan. I received the WeatherTech window shade today. A perfect fit.

PS: My bad, they don't have the mats for the coupe at this time.
It's only a matter of time until weathertech comes out with a set for the coupe. As far as I know, they have provide one of the most extensive list of mats around.
We are waiting patiently.
At least at this point most of us are living in conditions that are perfect for just having carpet mats. These WT mats will come out well before we have a real need for them.
I hope so. I don't even care about the backs right now since it is a coupe. But would love to have the fronts. I wonder is they are the same from coupe to sedan.
I bought the one from the dealer for my coupe lx 2016 oem less expensive then the weathertech after some time weathertech change color will see with oem .
The OEM mats are thermoplastic which are hard. The would little texture the trunk tray was not enough to prevent items from sliding around. I'm replacing the Honda trunk tray with the Weather Tech tray.
