Headunit Upgrade!?

Hello everyone!

I have been looking forward since day one of upgrading our head units to something a little more involved. I have a 17 hatchback sport and it came with the small display screen basically the basic version as a head unit. I am looking to upgrade it to something aftermarket. Has anyone done this yet or are we still waiting for something to come out? Also I may be interested in just upgrading to the wider screen that comes factory on most of the touring models. Has anyone done this yet? I have links to purchase it but do not know if we need to rewire anything additional to make sure it works with the base model. If anyone can shed any light on this it would be fantastic! Thanks in advanced!

I know this is an old post and sorry to bring it back from the dead. I've ben contemplating about getting the Phoenix Android Radio Headunit. It looks crazy and you can mirror your iphone and android phone so you can use waze app and google maps.

I have Honda Civic 1.5 Turbo 2016. The multimedia system is showing error. Only message is displayed to contact honda dealer.

How to fix this problem.

I have a 17 Hatch also....HATED the basic head unit...IMO its the best thing you can do...yeah its a little work...most of the conversion pieces are just connectors...getting all the steering wheel controls to work can be a pain...I put in a Kenwood Excelon DDX9903S....I absolutely love the head unit...without an amp it is a nice unit...with an amp it is amazing...while I changed the stock speakers, they are not all that bad...with this head unit (or poss many others) you can get a decent amount of bass out of them...Bottom line - change the head unit...spend a few extra bucks and enjoy the tunes
